Carol Pruitt, age 74, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at The University of Kansas Health System-St. Francis Campus.
She was born the daughter of Lloyd Dalton and Mattie Lee (Creasy) Barker on February 18, 1947, in Helena, Arkansas.
Virginia always enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, tending to her garden and listening to rock music. Spending time with her family brought her the greatest joy.
Survivors include two sons, (SMSgt) Raymond Pruitt, Jr., and his wife Anita of San Antonio, TX, William “Dale” Pruitt of Stark City, MO; two daughters, Deborah Latendresse and her husband Ken of Topeka, KS, Michelle Raynor and her husband Brian of Harrison, AR; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Voegeli (Anthony), Jana Latendresse (Cody), Luke Latendresse (Maria), Kyle Latendresse, Peter Lantendresse (Roman), (SrA) Michael Latendresse, (A1C) Sarah Latendresse, Sean Latendresse, (TSgt) Tyler Pruitt (Becca), Trinity Rice, Emily Pruitt, Ethan Pruitt and Molly Raynor; six great-grandchildren, Jason, Abigail, Henry and Benjamin Voegeli, Henry and Stevie Pruitt.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Clotilde Ham; two brothers, Lloyd Barker, Jr., and Glen Barker; grandson, Joseph Latendresse.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Omaha, 100 Church St., Omaha, AR 72662 with Pastor Gene France officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison, AR.
