Vincent Lee Alfrey

Vincent Lee Alfrey, 63, of Topeka, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at a Topeka hospital.

Vincent was married to his childhood girl next door neighbor Josephine G. (Josie Munoz) Alfrey on October 20, 1990.  She survives.

Vincent had an only child, a son who also survives him, John Efton (Amy Barnes) Alfrey of Dodge City.  He was a proud loving Papa to his two grandsons, Tristan Lee (4 years) and Grayson Efton (2 months).

Vincent was born on June 16, 1958, as the youngest loving child to Garnett F. (Downs) and Clifford Efton Alfrey Sr.  Both preceded him in death.  He was also predeceased by an oldest sister Betty (Laws) Alfrey and a younger brother, Robert H. Alfrey.

Vincent is survived by two sisters, Sherry (Melvin) Bartholomew of Topeka, Susan (Randy) Linderman of Silver Lake, KS., and a brother, Clifford Efton Alfrey Jr. of Gilbert, Arizona.

Vincent enjoyed outdoor activities from time to time.  He also liked baking for his coworkers, especially his chocolate cake.  However, his main passion was taking care of his family.

He will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday, January 14^th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. where his family will receive friends.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery-Topeka.
