Tony Everett Gee, 71, of Topeka, Kansas, went to his heavenly home on Friday, September 30, 2022. He was at the Midland Care Hospice House at the time of his death.
He was born July 14, 1951, in Garden City, Kansas, the son of Virgil Everett and Corrine (Simpson) Gee.
Tony grew up in Ulysses, Kansas, graduating from Ulysses High School in 1969. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1971 utilizing the exception to DA Policy. After serving his Country he attended Hutchinson Community College.
He married Rita Lyndell Warner on January 12, 1974, in Ulysses, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Tony owned and operated Gee Construction from 1976 to 2017 when he retired. He did many remodeling jobs, built a medical clinic, and constructed several homes; one of which he built single-handedly.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting; rarely missing the opening day of pheasant hunting season. He most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Tony was a devoted, loving husband, father, and grandpa. He was a member of the American Legion in Ulysses and Pheasants Forever.
Other survivors include a son, Justin Gee, and wife Michelle of Topeka, KS; daughter, Jodi Gee of Topeka, KS; grandchildren, Aiden Shaughnessy, Addison Gee, Trace Gee; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Shaughnessy all of Topeka, KS; brother, Troy Gee and wife Nancy of Valley Center, KS, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rugene Goodnight; and brother-in-law, Larry Goodnight.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Tony’s life will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on November 11, 2022. Please dress casually and celebrate our nation’s veterans by wearing red, white, and blue.

Tony always said he lived, he loved, and he would die. He will forever remain in our hearts.
