Tillie Myers

Tillie Irene (Trueblood) Neuner Myers, 93, Topeka, died surrounded by her family on July 17, 2022.  She was 93 years old.  Tillie was born to Vena and Alva Trueblood on October 26, 1928 in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada. 

She had one sister, Dorothy Burkett and three brothers, Charles Trueblood, Ralph Burgess, and Lloyd Burgess.  She graduated from Burlingame, KS high school in 1945.  She was employed by Sunflower Sales in the Purchasing Department for 36 years and retired from Famous Brands in 2000.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Tillie married Ben Neuner in 1955 and to this union was born a son, Benny Neuner.  Ben died February 2, 1985.  Later she married Merle Myers on June 1, 1998.  They were married 21 years, Merle died December 25, 2019.

Survivors include son, Benny Neuner; daughter in-law, Chris; grandchildren, Miranda, Hanna, Benjamin, Isaac, Samantha, and Ethan Neuner; great granddaughters, Delilah and Olivia; stepson, Jim Wingrath; nieces and nephews, Linda, Carolyn, Dickie, Craig, Larry, Cathy, Connie, Wilma, Ray, Judy, and Daryl.

Tillie loved to dance and was always on the dance floor.  She is probably dancing her way to heaven now.  She loved her grandchildren and family dearly.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Wednesday, July 20^th at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  A rosary will prayed at 6:30 pm following the visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.

In lieu of flowers, Tillie requested memorials to be given to Holy Name Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, or the Helping Hands Humane Society, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6^th Ave. Topeka, KS 66603.
