Thomas Lee Parmley, 87, of Topeka, Kansas died February 14, 2024, in Topeka.

Tom was born in Arkansas City, Kansas, on July 11, 1936, to George and Dracine Parmley; attended school there and began a career in radio broadcasting. Tom moved to television broadcasting in Great Bend, KS, moving to WIBW in Topeka, where he started as a reporter and finished as the News Director and anchor of the evening news.  After a distinguished broadcasting career, he worked in real estate sales and as Director of Marketing at Coldwell Banker, and in the Real Estate Department at Southwestern Bell. Tom was an avid golfer and big fan of all sports, especially the Kansas City Royals; his unique sense of humor and impressive sports knowledge served him well whenever his buddies offered him a "friendly wager".  

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Aunalee and daughter Connie Dawson (Eddie) of Topeka, daughter Debbie Norton of Wichita Falls, Texas, sister Pam White of Arkansas City, grandchildren Sean Dawson, Kelsie Jefferson, and Adam Norton and great-grandchildren Mia Dawson, Madaline Jefferson, and Grant Jefferson.

A private family service was held on Friday, February 16th, with burial taking place at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City, KS.
