Shirley Jean Fudge, 77, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Lexington Park Health & Rehab.
She was born June 4, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Louis Fudge and Hildred (Sanders) Fudge.
Shirley graduated from the Kansas School for the Blind in 1966. She worked for as a hotline receptionist for the State of Kansas and in a textile workshop for the blind.
She was a member of First Congregational Church, and enjoyed collecting crystals, dog figurines, and jewelry. She also took piano lessons and liked listening to Amish fiction and romance novels.
Survivors include her siblings, Judy Gwinnup and James Fudge; cousins, Carol Thomas, Sandy Fudge Plummer, Donna Robinson, and Gary Fudge; 4 nieces and 2 nephews; and many wonderful friends.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held this fall at The First Congregational Church, 1701 SW Collins, Topeka, KS 66603
