Samantha Baum, age 27, passed away tragically, on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Salina Regional Hospital.
She was born on December 19, 1994, the daughter of Timothy J. and Kimberlee Jo (Terrell) Baum.
Samantha was a 2013 graduate from Hope Street Academy. She attended Washburn Tech and received her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate. Samantha truly had a deep passion for her profession and being able to assist those in need.
From an early age, Samantha was known as a social butterfly. She enjoyed playing softball, basketball, sunflowers and tattoos. He greatest joy was her two children, son, Aiden and daughter, Aivree. Although Samantha’s life was cut short, we take comfort that she impacted and touched many lives. We continue her memory by living by Samantha’s life motto, “Stay Strong.” She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
Survivors include her two beloved children, Aiden and Aivree Baum; father, Tim Baum; brother, Schuyler Baum and his wife Tiffany; three sisters, Shannon Grant and her husband Christian, Angela Morris, and Kim Baum; paternal grandmother, Helen Baum, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Kimberlee Jo Baum (2014); maternal grandparents, Gary and Janet Terrell; paternal grandfather, Robert Baum; uncle, Kevin Terrell, and an aunt, Kathy Schleuder.
Visitation will take place from 5-8:00 P.M., with a rosary at 6:00 P.M., on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Tuesday, April 19, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.
Cremation will take place after the service. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Topeka Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her mother.
Memorial contributions can be made payable to the Samantha Baum Memorial Fund. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
