Ruth Campos

Ruth Campos, 100, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, peacefully at her home.

She was born July 9, 1926, in Topeka, the daughter of Jose and Virgina Estrada Martinez.

Ruth retired from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

She married H. C. Campos at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He passed away on December 7, 2014.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Elaine Santos, Yvonne Viator, Maxine Bermudez; sister, Priscilla Martinez; 9 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters; Rachel Lucero, Celia Soriano, Paula Padilla, Virginia Smith, Sylvia Ramirez, and Adelia Rose Martinez; as well as brothers, Daniel Martinez and Pablo Martinez.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.

Memorial contributions can be made in Ruth’s memory to Midland Care Hospice and/or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
