Robert Gerard Torres, age 82, of Tecumseh, KS, passed away with his family by his side on Friday, September 17, 2021.

He was born the son of Robert G. and Linda (Reyes) Torres on January 3, 1939 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.

Robert served in the United States Air Force. After a 21-year career, he retired as a Master Sergeant. He always enjoyed flying on B-52’s during many missions. After his retirement from the military, he was employed with Frito Lay in the maintenance department and retired after 25 years. He was very knowledgeable as a handyman and was able to fix any issue at work or at home.

On June 6, 1963, Robert married Angeline “Angie” Flanagan at Assumption Catholic Church. Angie passed away on November 9, 2019.

In his early years, Robert enjoyed square dancing, listening to music and taking random road trips with Angie. Spending time with his family brought him the greatest joy.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracy Moore and her husband George of Tecumseh; four grandchildren, Heather Santo, Collin Bicknell, George S. Moore III and his fiancé and caregiver to Robert, Alyssa Gonzales, and Evan R. Moore; two great-grandchildren, Corbin Wilson, Cohen Santo and a great-grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Susan Torres and a sister, GiGi Torres.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M., on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
