Topeka

Robert John “Robbie” Kuno, 51, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Stormont Vail Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born April 3, 1975, in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, to Deborah J. (Leonard) Moreno. Robbie graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1993 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in business from Washburn University.

Robbie worked at the Prairie Band Casino in Mayetta for 21 years. He worked in Table Games, served as Cashier Cage Manager, and later found his calling in Human Resources. He loved his work, but even more, he loved the people he worked alongside. Through Prairie Band, he volunteered for the Mexican Fiesta, Health & Wellness Fair, Harvesters, and the Mini Jamaica Kitchen — always showing up with a generous spirit and a ready smile.

He was an avid Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawk fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends, going to the Topeka Zoo where he was a “Friend of the Zoo”, and taking care of his cat Gracie.

Survivors include his mother and father, Deborah and Gil Moreno of Topeka; sisters, Tricia Burkhardt (Greg Anderson) of Topeka, Michele Bielefeld (Doug) of Pomona, and Jennifer Kelly (Kelly Sweet) of Topeka; brothers, Greg Moreno (Seana) of Olathe and Mike Morstorf (Elizabeth) of Topeka; uncles, Donnie Leonard (Gloria) of Topeka and David Leonard (Cindy) of Berryton; cousins, Daniel Leonard (Elise) and their daughter Tinley of Topeka, and Eric Leonard (Amber) and their children Eli and Alexis of Topeka; nephews, Kyle Burkhardt (Katie) and their son Kash, Justin Burkhardt, Derrick Burkhardt (Destini Jenkins) and their children Quintin, Arianna, and Jakoby, Nicholas Campfield, Brandon Howland, Tyler Kelly and his sons Xavier and Christian, Kortez Kelly, Jaxson Moreno, Michael Morstorf, and Timothy Morstorf; nieces, Renee Hendricks (Daniel) and their son Nathaniel, Hailey Howland and her son Grayson, Mia Kelly, Madison Moreno, Harper Moreno, Olivia Morstorf, Sophia Morstorf, and Theresa Morstorf; along with many cousins and extended family.
