Robert “Bob” N. Waggoner, age 78, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Stormont Vail Hospital.
He was born the son of Kenneth and Carrie (Blankenship) Waggoner on May 8, 1947, in Topeka, KS. On August 25, 1977, Bob married his loving wife, Margaret June Levings in Topeka, KS, and together, they shared 45 years of marriage before Margaret’s passing on September 13, 2022.
Bob was a man of many talents and indulged in various hobbies. He especially enjoyed fishing, keeping a meticulous garden, spending time outdoors and camping. It didn’t matter about the restaurant or who he was with, Bob loved going out to eat to share a meal and a joke or two. His bigger than life personality always lit up a room whether sharing a funny story or showing his orneriness. It was time spent with family and friends, sharing his love of barbequing, gatherings, and holidays that brought him the greatest joy. His love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was as big as his heart. Later in years, Bob loved trips to the casino, he had a keen interest in antique cars, and he had a soft spot for animals. We will miss his quick wit personality and the love he showed to all, but we take comfort that he is with his beloved wife, Margaret, sharing a good joke with all those that have gone before him.
Survivors include his four daughters, Robin Kingman, Bonnie Stovall and her husband Chuck, Traci Miner, Trisha Schooler and her husband Chad; and one son, Paul Waggoner and his wife Janae. Other survivors include his 10 cherished grandchildren and 27 beloved great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; son-in-law, Shane Kingman; and two brothers, Virgil and Larry Waggoner.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 P.M., on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.
A funeral service will take place at 12:30 P.M., on Tuesday, December 16, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery-Topeka.
