René Philip Tinoco

René Philip Tinoco, 50, of Topeka, Kansas, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at his home.

He was born April 7, 1972, in Topeka, the son of Reymundo and Guadalupe C. (Barranco) Tinoco.

René grew up in Topeka, graduating from Hayden Catholic High School in 1990. 

He worked for Embroidery Plus as a screen printer.  He enjoyed cooking and grilling, playing pool, and celebrating the 4^th of July with lots of fireworks.  He was a sports fan and some of his favorite teams included the Chicago Bears, San Antonio Spurs, and the Kansas Jayhawks.

René is survived by a daughter, Aurelia Jo Tinoco of Topeka; a sister, Anita Tinoco Gomez of Topeka; a brother, Steven Tinoco and his wife Juli of Topeka; nieces, Melissa Gomez of Topeka, Alicia Downing of Topeka, Viviana Tinoco of Topeka; nephews, Reymundo Tinoco of Topeka, and Rio Tinoco of Topeka.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law.

The family will receive friends at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6^th Ave. Topeka, KS 66603 on Sunday, September 18^th from 4:00-6:00pm, where a rosary will be prayed at 6pm.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am, Monday, September 19, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 201 NE Chandler St. Topeka, KS 66616.
