Ray Lee Wabskie

August 6, 1954 — January 26, 2023

Ray Lee Wabskie, 68, of Topeka, passed away on January 26, 2023, at KU Medical Center, St. Francis Campus.

He was born in Topeka, Kansas on August 6, 1954, the son of Donald and Marjorie (Shopteese) Wabskie.

Ray worked for Falley’s and Bliers Grocery as a manager. 

He was a tribal member of the Prairie Band of Pottawatomi Indians.  He also enjoyed working on his car.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Luella Ann Wabskie and a brother Donald “Junie” Wabskie Jr.  He is survived by his siblings, Gary Wabskie, Donna Vega, Carol (Bradley) LaMonte and Diane Arnold.

He will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Friday, February 3rd, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, February 4th, at the Shipshee Cemetery.
