Patricia Marie Rodriguez

Patricia Marie “Pat” Rodriguez, 85, of Topeka, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, at Midland Hospice House.

She was born July 2, 1941, in Waverly, Kansas, to Vernon Jack Brosemer and Verna Opal (Kellum) Brosemer. Pat attended East Topeka Elementary and Junior High Schools, and was a member of Westside Christian Church.

Pat worked at Jostens Publishing for over 40 years. She worked as a designer and proofreader and retired in 2008.

Her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She had a very witty sense of humor and was a natural storyteller. In her younger years Pat participated in bowling leagues with her husband and card games at family and friends’ homes. Pat also enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo.

Pat married Saturnino Augustine “Tino” Rodriguez, on January 16, 1956. They shared 54 years together before his passing in 2010.

Survivors include her children, Deborah Ann Cisneros of Topeka, Theresa Marie Rodriguez of Topeka, and Rodney Augustine Rodriguez (Ginger Rodriguez) of Topeka; son-in-law, Terry Lee Hollenbeck of Tecumseh; siblings, Catherine Spangler of Broomfield, Colorado, Larry Brosemer of Topeka; grandchildren, Stephen Pittman, Joshua Pittman, Rebecca Brown, Joseph Pittman, Jonny Madrid, Kristina Collins, Alex Johnston, David Hollenbeck, Tyler Rodriguez, Maria Cisneros, and Connar Rodriguez; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Richard Louis Rodriguez, Linda Sue Hollenbeck; and siblings, Barbara Rhoades, Winifred Eastwood, and Steven Brosemer.

The family will receive friends at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, on Thursday, August 13, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be 10:30am, Friday, August 14, at Westside Christian Church, 432 Lindenwood Ave. Topeka, KS 66606. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
