MSgt Ryan Timothy Sipes

MSgt Ryan Timothy Sipes, 41, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 12, 2024.

He was born October 14, 1982, in Topeka to Timothy Sipes and Lynn (Johnson) Sipes.

Ryan attended Washburn Rural Schools until 10^th grade when he transferred to and graduated from Topeka West High School in 2001.

He began his career with the 190^th Air Refueling Wing of the Kansas Air National Guard on September 16, 2000, earning the rank of Master Sergeant.

Ryan was very active in sports and activities with his son.  He enjoyed playing softball, scuba diving, camping, and coaching.

He was an avid K-State and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.

Ryan is survived by a son, Dawson Lee; father, Timothy and wife Janet of Clearwater Beach, Florida; mother, Lynn of Topeka; sister, Shelly of Tampa, Florida; and Dawson Lee’s mother, Brooke Ann of Topeka.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-8:00pm Wednesday, April 17, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.   Funeral services will be 11:00am, Thursday, April 18, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6^th Ave. Topeka, KS 66603.
