Michael Shawn Grabauskas

Michael Shawn Grabauskas, 52, of Topeka, passed away after a long battle with lung cancer on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

He was born February 12, 1972, in Topeka, the oldest of 3 sons to Michael Louis Grabauskas and Marilyn Jane (Fisher) Grabauskas.

Michael graduated from Highland Park High School in 1990 and went on to attend VoTech.

He worked for Cla-Mar Inc. for 26 years.  He enjoyed bowling, playing the guitar, animals, and was a Las Vegas Raider fan.

Michael married Melynda J. McCamon on June 8, 2001, in Topeka.  She died May 20, 2006.

Survivors include his parents Michael and Marilyn Grabauskas of Topeka; children, Mckenzie L. Grabauskas of Topeka, Austin Vanover of Topeka; fiancé, Martha Heath of Topeka; brothers, Matthew Grabauskas and wife Jodi of Topeka, Nathan Grabauskas of Topeka; grandsons, Lucas Ray and Flynn Ray of Topeka; as well as extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Melynda and his grandparents.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, May 28, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am, Wednesday, May 29, at St. Matthew Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Topeka Cemetery.
