Michael Dean Engroff, 59, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born May 4, 1964, in Topeka, the son of Dean and Virginia (Weeks) Engroff.
Michael grew up in Topeka, attending Sacred Heart Grade School, Hayden, and Shawnee Heights High Schools, and was a member of Sacred Heart-St. Joseph parish.
He worked as a project manager for a number of construction companies. He loved fishing, and was awarded the Master Angler award for a record Walleye at Lake Clinton. He also enjoyed camping, woodworking, traveling, and especially cooking prime rib for family Christmas dinners.
He is survived by his mother and father; his daughter, Michelle Robinson of Texas; brother, Chris Engroff (Leesa) of Topeka; sisters, Pam Tevis (Randy) of Topeka, Connie Anderson (Randy) of Silver Lake, Cathy Engroff of Topeka, and Mary Wurtz (Dennis) of Topeka; two grandsons; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Ozzie.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 10:30am, Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 312 NE Freeman, Topeka, KS 66616 with a rosary prayed at 10:30am, a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am.
