Marvin Alan Richardson, age 92, of Topeka, KS, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
He was born the son of Clell and Ella (Smith) Richardson on December 27, 1931, in Sycamore, KS.
Marvin attended Ward school in Wilson County, KS, and graduated from high school in North Kansas City, KS. His family then returned to Cherryvale, KS. He married Loretta Yager on August 3, 1957. They later divorced. Marvin married Mary Ann Andes on June 25, 1988, in Topeka. Together, they shared over 35 years of marriage.
Marvin retired from Topeka State Hospital in 1993, after 29 years of employment. He worked in several departments, working up to the Engineering Department. He attended and served in many capacities at Victory City Church (formerly Victory Tabernacle) for many years.
Survivors include his beloved wife of the home, Mary Ann; daughter, Marilyn K. Munoz (Artie); daughter, Linda K. Anguiano (Gary); as well as ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Lucille Neill; two brothers, Dean Lloyd Richardson and Eugene Lee Richardson; and a son, Dale Alan Richardson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Victory City Church, 2622 SE 6th St., Topeka, KS 66607.
He will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made in Marvin's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
