Linda S. Garrett

Linda Sue Garrett, age 79, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born the daughter of Harold C. and Delilah L. (Hainline) Peck on August 9, 1946, in Topeka, KS.

On November 8, 1969, Linda married her beloved sweetheart, Thomas Garrett at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Together, they shared almost 56 years of marriage.

Linda is survived by her husband, Thomas; son, Joe Garrett and his wife, Ashley; son, Steven Garrett and his wife, Shannon; granddaughter, McKenzie Garrett; sisters, Mary McCurry, and Becky Cox and her husband, Gary.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Harold “Bud” E. Peck.

Linda’s family brought her immense joy, but she had a huge heart for animals, especially dogs. Throughout the years, she shared many memories with her “grand dogs.” She leaves behind her beloved dogs, Maggie, Marley, Jarvis, & Jake. Preceding her in death and greeting her in heaven are her dogs, Molly, and her son Steve’s dog, Macy.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-6:30 P.M., on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, August 29, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Linda's memory to Midland Hospice Care.
