Larry Paul Wecker, 86, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2025.

He was born September 10, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Stephen Wecker and Anna (Neussen) Wecker.

Larry grew up in Olpe, Kansas, and graduated from Olpe High School in 1957. He attended college at Emporia State University.

He married Elaine Kaye Wilson on June 19, 1965, in Emporia, Kansas. She passed away on March 4, 2025.

Professionally, Larry was the proud owner of L&E Supply, where he and Elaine worked with integrity and built relationships grounded in respect, care, and service.

Larry lived a life of faith, service, joy, and dedication to his family and community. As a proud veteran, he served his country with honor. He was a man of generous spirit and was always ready to lend a hand. He carried a joyful heart in all he did and his faith in the Lord guided him through life and was central to who he was. He was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Larry’s passions were many. He was an avid sports fan, especially loyal to Kansas State University and the Kansas City Chiefs. He rarely missed a game. He loved the outdoors, with hunting and fishing among his favorite pastimes. He treasured the peace of fly fishing at Roaring River State Park. He also enjoyed gathering with friends and family over games and poker, always bringing laughter and companionship to the table.

Survivors include his children, Tim Wecker and wife Theresa, Lisa Kanatzar and husband Jeff; his grandchildren, Treaver and Megan Wecker, Trenton and Katie Wecker, Tannier Wecker, Megan Havens, Stephanie and Isreal Mundy, Justin Kanatzar and Jessie Kanatzar; and 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Darryl Wecker, and Steve Wecker and wife Marie; sister-in-law, Nancy Wecker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elaine; sister, Elaine Olivera; and brother, Jim.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am, Saturday, October 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Topeka. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Olpe, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave. Topeka, KS 66603.
