Kenneth “Kenny” D. Olson, age 93, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Topeka.

He was born the son of Lawrence H. and Olive (Perry) Olson on October 14, 1932, in Silver Lake, KS. Following graduation from Silver Lake High School, Kenny enlisted in the United States Army and was honorable discharged.

When Kenny returned home, he worked for a few years at a hardware store. He then was employed by the railroad (Sante Fe) and after 40 plus years, he retired as a Carman. On July 1, 1961, Kenny married his sweetheart, Elaine R. Dosch at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Together, they shared 64 years of marriage, teamwork, and creating a beautiful family.

Kenny was a devoted parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was an avid K-State fan, cheering on his beloved Wildcats, as well as the Kansas City Royals.

Survivors include his loving wife, Elaine Olson; two sons, Derron Olson (Lori), and Kenneth Olson II. Other survivors include his two grandsons, Tyler and Nicholas Olson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John Olson.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 P.M., on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, March 28, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.

Memorial contributions can be made in Kenny's memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
