Joan Marie Temple

Joan Marie Temple, age 68, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Midland Care Hospice House.

She was born the daughter of Roland “Steve” and Katherine “Pat” (Collins) Stephan on March 28, 1955, in Swinden, England.

Joan graduated from Rossville High School in 1973. She worked as a Caregiver in Home Health for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting Wedgwood and Wades (fine English china and pottery), and birdwatching. Spending time with her two grandchildren was her greatest enjoyment.

Survivors include her son, Joshua Temple and his wife Sarah; two grandchildren, Evelyn and Locklan Temple; and Joan’s longtime companion, Keith Abbuhl.

Cremation has taken place. A come and go Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., at the Auburn Civic Center in Auburn, KS.

Memorial contributions can be made in her loving memory to Midland Hospice.
