Janet Elizabeth (James) Hawks

Janet Elizabeth (James) Hawks, 58, of Topeka, KS died Monday, January 14, 2019.

She was born February 28, 1960 in Topeka, the daughter of Norman and Jean (Spencer) James.

Janet provided home day care for over 20 years and was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She didn't just have a big heart - it was huge. Her smile lit up a room. She didn't know a stranger, and adored children. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Woodman and Jessica Hawks, a brother, Joe James, fiancé, Reuben Wagnor, along with two grandsons, Ashton and Cooper Woodman all of Topeka.  Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Jean James, along with two brothers, Jeff James and James James.

A celebration of her life will begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Topeka First Assembly Church Boulevard Campus located at 27^th and Topeka Blvd.
