Jane Ellen Liby

Jane Ellen Liby, 86, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Brewster Place.

She was born September 26, 1937, in Clyde, Kansas, to Clarence Cyr and Lena (Biery) Cyr. Jane graduated from high school in Clyde, Kansas.

Jane married Wilfred “Bill” Liby, on June 4, 1955, in Clay Center. Bill died in 2007.

Jane Liby worked side by side with her husband for many years. She was the bookkeeper for Liby’s Auto Service and as an antique dealer at Liby’s Antiques.

She enjoyed antiques, garage and estate sales, camping, playing cards, and traveling. She was also a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Meriden, Kansas.

Survivors include two children, son Greg Liby and wife Shelly of Meriden, daughter Tammy Liby Buller of Topeka; seven granddaughters; and 13 great grandchildren, and brother, Gayle Cyr of Topeka.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, granddaughter, Jamie Sadowski, and siblings, Carl Cyr, Laverne Cyr, and Everett Cyr.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Meriden, Kansas.
