Gonsalo Arteaga-Juárez, de 32 años, residente de Topeka, Kansas, falleció inesperadamente el jueves 5 de junio de 2025.

Nació el 27 de junio de 1992 en Rupert, Idaho, hijo de Edilberto e Irene (Juárez) Arteaga.

A Gonsalo le encantaba dibujar y escuchar música. Se mantenía activo haciendo ejercicio y manteniéndose en forma. En su tiempo libre, disfrutaba viendo partidos de fútbol y pasando tiempo con su familia y amigos.

Le sobreviven su padre, Edilberto Arteaga; su hija, Kayamariah Rose Arteaga-Banks; sus cuatro hermanos, José J. Arteaga, Moisés J. Arteaga, David J. Arteaga y Marc Anthony J. Arteaga; y sus dos hermanas, Cristina Arteaga-Juárez y Marilú J. Arteaga. Le sobreviven sus queridos sobrinos y sobrinas: Miguel, Christian, Saydee, Gerardo, Mateo, Betzabe, Isabelle y Camila.

Le precedió en la muerte su madre, Irene Arteaga.

Gonsalo permanecerá en el velatorio de 17:00 a 20:00 h, y se rezará el rosario a las 19:30 h el lunes 16 de junio de 2025 en la Funeraria Brennan-Mathena.

La misa de entierro cristiano se celebrará a las 10:00 h el martes 17 de junio en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. El entierro se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio de Topeka.

Gonsalo Arteaga-Juarez, age 32, of Topeka, KS, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

He was born the son of Edilberto and Irene (Juarez) Arteaga on June 27, 1992, in Rupert, Idaho.

Gonsalo loved drawing and listening to music. He stayed active while working out and staying fit. In his downtime, Gonsalo enjoyed watching soccer games and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his father, Edilberto Arteaga; daughter, Kayamariah Rose Arteaga-Banks; four brothers, José J. Arteaga, Moises J. Arteaga, David J. Arteaga, and Marc Anthony J. Arteaga; two sisters, Cristina Arteaga-Juarez, and Marilu J. Arteaga. Other survivors include his beloved nieces and nephews, Miguel, Christian, Saydee, Gerardo, Mateo, Betzabe, Isabelle, and Camila.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Arteaga.

Gonsalo will lie in state from 5-8:00 P.M., with a rosary being prayed at 7:30 P.M., on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday, June 17, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Topeka Cemetery.
