Gary Lee Hallenbeck, 85, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
He was born February 22, 1940, in Lawrence, Kansas, to Charles B. Hallenbeck and Margie (Mayhugh) Hallenbeck.
Gary enjoyed auctioneering and gambling.
He worked as a truck driver for several companies, as well as a plant worker at Essex Wire.
He married Debra Kay Gillmore on August 18, 1977, in Miami, Oklahoma. She passed away on May 12, 2013.
Survivors include three children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a brother, and sister.
A visitation with the family will be 12:30-1:30pm, Tuesday, July 29, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, with a graveside service at 2:00pm in the Mission Center Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, sent in care of the funeral home.
