Edward Robert Schraeder, Sr.

Edward Robert Schraeder Sr. 90, of Topeka, passed away on January 1, 2021 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.

He was born in St. Marys, Kansas on November 25, 1930 the son of Fred C. and Regina M. (Allen) Schraeder.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he retired after 21 years as a Master Sergeant. 

Edward enjoyed boating, camping and the all-around lake life.

He married Noella Dumond.  They later divorced.

He is survived by three children, Edward (Deborah) Schraeder Jr., Janet (Kim) Richardson, and Joyce (Tim) Wheatley, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Teresa Richstatter, twins, Rose Murry, Mary Murphy and his longtime companion, Jane Fleeker.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Isabelle Simecka, Tom Schraeder, Carroll Schraeder and Bill Schraeder.

Edward was cremated.  A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 12:30 P.M. Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
