Dianne Lee Houser was born in Wichita, Kansas on September 14, 1941, to Virginia Lee and Leslie Thomas Frank. She was eldest of four siblings and grew up in the Wichita/Goddard area. She graduated from Wichita North High school. She was an active swimmer and instructor with the original Wichita Swim Club.
On September 4, 1959, she married the love of her life, Fred Lee Houser. Together they have three children - Deborah Craney (Kevin), Timothy Houser, and Paul Houser. They have 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Dianne and Fred lived in the Wichita area until 1963, when they moved to Kansas City for a family business adventure where they worked together at the Mission Paint Center for many years. During this time of expanding and raising their family, they attended Roeland Park United Methodist Church where she and Fred were very involved in fellowship with other members and were used by the Lord in a ministry position as Youth Directors. Dianne was instrumental in loving, teaching, and nurturing the youth that were involved during those years...and continued this nature throughout the rest of her years with other opportunities and her own family.
In 1979 the Lord directed changes and Dianne and Fred and family moved from Kansas City to the Topeka, Kansas area. They began fellowshipping at Community Church - again involved in ministry through assisting with the youth and supporting Fred in leadership positions as well.
Dianne and Fred were also involved during a season at New Beginnings Church and supported through fellowship and volunteering during the inception of God's Store House and other leadership opportunities.
Dianne's character has been one of love and support to anyone she's met. Her avid desire to serve and please the Lord was first and foremost, next to her covenant love for her husband of 66 years.
Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister - Joan Monckton.
The family will receive friends from 9:00am to 10:00am, with a funeral service at 10:00am, Saturday, January 24, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery in Topeka.
