Dennis "Denny" Graham

Dennis Dean Graham, 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, warmth, and quiet strength. Born on January 23, 1948, in Junction City, Kansas, to Daryl and Irene (Adam) Graham, Dennis entered the world facing lifelong disabilities that might have tested the faith or spirit of most. Yet Dennis never saw his circumstances as a roadblock—only a daily challenge to be met with determination, good humor, and grace.

Dennis spent his early years in Chapman alongside his sisters and cousins, working and playing on his grandparents' farms. As his needs evolved, his family made the selfless choice to support his independence, leading Dennis to Parsons, Kansas, and later the Fort Dodge Soldiers' Home, where he developed strong living and social skills. At age 20, Dennis moved to Salina and connected with OCCK, finding both a home and a fulfilling career where he worked for over 40 years before enjoying a well-earned retirement. In his later years, Dennis lived with his mother before moving to Topeka to be near his sister, building fond memories and lasting friendships at Lexington Park and Oak Creek.

To know Dennis was to have a loyal friend. He had a natural gift for connection and was genuinely happy to see everyone he met. Dennis found joy in life's simple pleasures: fishing, camping, crafting, working on puzzles, playing BINGO, and watching classic Westerns. He loved telling stories, sharing a laugh, and engaging in good-natured ribbing with those he cared about. Above all, he cherished spending time with family and friends—especially if it involved sharing a cold beer, a bowl of chips, with some "New York City" (salsa).

Dennis is reunited in heaven with his parents, Daryl and Irene, and his sister, Debra “Deb” (Graham) Quintanar.

He is survived by his sister, Kathleen (Jon) Graham Martin; nephews Dustin Taylor, Travis (Becky) Taylor, Adam (Julie) Graham, and Chris (Kelle) Quintanar; niece Chelsey (Mark) Quintanar Petrina; great-nephews Kaden Hart, Tristan Graham, Grayson Graham, and Leo Petrina; and great-nieces Myia Taylor, Kaylee Taylor, Marley Taylor, and Cora Petrina.

May our beloved brother, uncle, and friend rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Thursday, September 3, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 P.M., at Indian Hill Cemetery in Chapman, KS.
