David Roy Shivers

David Roy Shivers was born on August 26, 1945, in Perryton, TX to Dorothy and Roy Shivers, and passed away on August 11, 2024, after a long and fulfilling life.

David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon Shivers, his children Michele Holley (Chuck Ratterree), Matthew Shivers, Melissa Martin (Joe Martin) and Mark Ryan Shivers-Delgado (Chris Delgado). One of his most beloved pastimes was spending time with his 7 grandchildren, Bryanna Holley, Dylan Holley, Tate Holley, Ryan Holley, Wyatt Ratterree, Parker Martin & Ethan Martin. David was also Great-Granddaddy to Catalina, Xochitl, Blair and Blaine. 

David dedicated his life to his family and was known for his quick humor and love of golf. David was a church choir member and dedicated KU fan, Rock Chalk Jayhawk! David spent much of his younger years in San Diego California, where he met his wife and started a family. 

He retired from the US Navy after 25 years of service and from UPS after 25 years, he enjoyed his leisurely life of retirement. 

Cremation has taken place and services will be private.
