Danny A. McCabe

Daniel “Danny” Allen McCabe, of Topeka, KS, passed away on August 6, 2026, at 6:00 A.M., at a Topeka hospital.

Danny was born on April 17, 1950, in Strong City, KS, the son of Claude E. and Verla (Foose) McCabe.

He was a proud 1968 graduate of Topeka High School before continuing his education at Washburn University, where he was a member of the Men’s Rowing Crew. After leaving Washburn, Danny co-founded Hayden Tower Service in Topeka alongside several business partners, turning a bold vision into an extraordinary success story.

Through relentless hard work, unwavering determination, and an uncompromising commitment to excellence, Danny helped Hayden Tower Service grow from a local company into a nationally recognized leader in the telecommunications industry. The company expanded across the United States and into South America, constructing telecommunication towers that connected communities and advanced critical infrastructure. His meticulous attention to detail, strong work ethic, and pursuit of perfection were the cornerstones of the company’s success and earned him the respect of colleagues and industry peers alike.

Danny was proceeded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law; a grand niece and three grand nephews. He is survived by his three brothers, Michael McCabe and his wife Julie of Minot, ND, David McCabe and his wife Ruth of Osage City, KS, and Gary McCabe of Randolf, KS. Other survivors include six nephews and nine nieces.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.

A graveside service will take place at 10:30 A.M., on Saturday, August 15, at the Matfield Green Cemetery in Matfield Green, KS.
