Cynthia Ann Evarts

Cynthia Ann Evarts, 75, of Topeka, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

She was born May 28, 1951, in Topeka, Kansas to Jack Mason and Jovita (Obergon) Mason. As a child Cynthia attended Holy Name Catholic Church and East Topeka Junior High School.

Cynthia enjoyed cooking, karaoke, fishing, listening to music, and listening to her family sing karaoke. She worked as a cook for many years at various institutions. Where she inspired children to put their energy into cooking as a better outlet.

Cynthia married Ellis Gerald “Jerry” Evarts on August 12, 1967, at the Gage Park Rose Garden in Topeka. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her children, Jennifer Lopez and Angela (Angie)Hainline (Jason); grandchildren, Antonio Trimble (Alya Crumpton), Blake Trimble (Taylynn), Mariah Hainline, Makayla Hainline, Great grandchildren-Remington Trimble, Beau Trimble, and Westyn Trimble. Neice, Brenda (Rick, Mellisa).

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 27, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.
