Connee A. Ridgway

Connee A. Ridgway, age 77, of Topeka, KS, passed away at the House of Midland Care on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

She was born the daughter of Richard and Clo Etta (Kelly) Knowlton on November 13, 1945, in Tulsa, OK.

Connee married Stephen L. Ridgway and together they had two children. She was employed and retired from the Colmery-O’Neil VA Medical Center as the Director of Medical Transcription. In her spare time, you could find Connee reading a good book, putting puzzles together, playing cards and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed but not forgotten.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Randy Ridgway, Becky Ridgway-Martin, and Sarah Persinger; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one brother, Richard “Dicky” Knowlton and his wife Sharon.

Connee was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Stephen Martin; great-grandchild, Brielle Martinez; and a brother, Kelly Knowlton.

Visitation with viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M., at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6^th Ave., Topeka, KS 66603. A graveside service with burial will follow at 2:00 P.M., at Mt. Hope Cemetery-Topeka.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Colmery-O’Neil VA Medical or to a local veterans memorial. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
