Charles "Charlie" H. Martin

February 5, 1965 — January 7, 2021

Charles H. Martin (Charlie), beloved husband and father, age 55, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Stormont Vail Hospital.

He was born the son of the late Charles A. Martin, Jr. and Carol Virginia (Creitz) Martin on February 5, 1965 in Topeka, KS. 

On March 17, 2001, Charles married the love of his life, Christine D. “Chris” Jones in Topeka. Together, they shared almost 20 years of marriage. 

Charles will be remembered by his family and friends as an outgoing, spunky individual with a special sense of humor. He was a train enthusiast and enjoyed modeling trains, photography, military history, reading and listening to all genres of music. He was an avid KU and KC Chiefs fan. He served in the Air Force & the Army National Guard. Above all, Charlie was a family man that loved spending time with his wife, children and his cats. He was always on the go and was never the one to sit still. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife, Christine “Chris”; son, Ian Martin; daughter, Olivia Martin; sister, Susan (Mark) Allshouse and step-mother, Shirley Martin. 

Cremation has taken place. An informal memorial visitation for a brief time will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 5-7:00 P.M. at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  Social distancing will be practiced & masks are required.

Memorial contributions can be made out to Christine Martin to help with the children’s education fund. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
