Charles Walter Kennedy

Charles Walter Kennedy left this world last Thursday, January 10, to finally be reunited with his beloved wife Janet (2009) who paved the way for him to enter our Lord’s Kingdom.

Charles was a classic entrepreneur who ventured into many different areas in his lifetime. Starting early with a stretch at the US Geological Survey measuring river levels, where he developed a love for the land and its history, and a healthy dislike of working for other people. He formed a number of construction supply and service companies, filling various needs when he identified them. Late in life he was involved in property development of Elderly and Low-Income Housing.

Charles is survived by his two sisters Maureen Gieber and Virgina Seligar. his children Michael and wife Danielle, Patrick, Matt and his wife Patti, Daniel and his wife Molly, and Kathleen and her husband Geoff Tolbert, his grandchildren Joseph, Maria, Stephen, Elizabeth, Alex, Madeline, Gracelyn, Lilly Tolbert and his great granddaughter Reagan.

Visitation will be Friday January 18 from 5 to 7pm at Brennan Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, Kansas 66603.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Saturday January 19 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3601 SW 17th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66604
