Charles Bartocci, Retired USCG

Retired USCG Charles Bartocci, 69, of Topeka, passed away on February 3, 2024, in Independence, Missouri.

He was born in Orlando, Florida on January 20, 1955, the son of Pasquale and Estelle (Vincent) Bartocci.   

Charles served his country in the United States Coast Guard for 30 years.  He was most recently a Training Specialist for Homeland Security with the Coast Guard.  He enjoyed working for his country and those whom he was associated with in his many positions over the years.

He enjoyed kayaking, golfing, cooking, was an artist and a loyal Royals Baseball fan.

He married Jacqueline Williams on August 16, 1997, in Topeka, Kansas.  She survives.  He is also survived by a step-son, Jordan Turner and his siblings, Cathy (Joe) Beaudoin, Tommy (Sharon) Bartocci and Annette Cobb.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

A Memorial service with military honors provided by the Coast Guard will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, February 17th, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.  His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Meals on Wheels or to the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance Fund and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas  66603.
