Charlene Marie Appelhanz, age 79, of Topeka, KS, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Friday, November 7, 2025.

She will lie in state from 5-7:00 P.M., with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 P.M., on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., on Thursday, November 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M., at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.

Memorial contributions can be made in Charlene's memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 312 NE Freeman Ave., Topeka, KS 66616 in care of the funeral home.
