Cenaida B. Gonzalez

Cenaida "Cindy" B. Gonzalez, 86 of Topeka passed away peacefully at Kelly House Topeka on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, with her daughters by her bedside.

She was born June 3, 1938, in Topeka to Juan A. Barranco and Teresa (Perez) Barranco. Cenaida attended public schools in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School in 1958. 

She worked as a caregiver with the Kansas Neurological Institute for 22 years where she later retired. Cenaida enjoyed sewing, cooking her favorite Mexican dishes and taking care of her children and grandchildren, as well as the children at KNI. 

She married Gabriel R. Gonzalez later divorced. She is survived by her four children Margaret M. Brown (Ron), Rosemary Gonzalez, Gabriel Gonzalez, Jr. (Brenda) and Gabriella R. Gonzalez (Ed). Cenaida is blessed with several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. She is also survived by a sister Rafaela Salazar and was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters, also all of Topeka. 

Burial will be private.
