Buddie W. Spencer, age 88, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Stormont Vail Hospital.

He was born the son of the late Lowell and Blanche (King) Spencer on November 23, 1934, in Nevada, MO.

Buddie was a talented musician throughout his life. From an early age, he had an ability to play different musical instruments, invent a variety of items and be creative throughout his endeavors. You could find the Spencer family playing at different venues throughout Topeka and surrounding communities as the musical group, “Buddie & The Twins.” He was considered a “Jack of all trades” when it came to his work and could create and complete very specialized projects. In his spare time, Buddie enjoyed flying and being a pilot, as well as spending time with his family.

Buddie is survived by his two sons, Eddie Spencer (Sandra), and Dean Spencer; one daughter, Valerie Remy (Kevin); stepson, Jung Sung and his family; as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a brother and sister.

A private family graveside service took place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
