Brian Servantez, age 50, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
He was born on July 28, 1975, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Ernest Servantez and Bonnie (Comp) Florez. Brian spent his career working in automotive parts sales for several companies in the Topeka area, where he was known as a dependable and hardworking employee.
Brian had a deep love for sports, especially for his beloved Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs. Whether it was watching a game, talking about sports with friends and family, or proudly cheering on his teams, being a fan brought him great joy. He was loyal throughout every season and every game. Those who knew Brian often joked that the color purple simply did not exist in his world.
Above all, Brian will be remembered for his kindness, his gentle spirit, and the quiet way he cared for the people around him. His warm heart and easygoing nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Survivors include his mother and father, Bonnie and Paul Florez; son, Brendan Servantez; daughter, Selena Escalante; three grandchildren, Maleni, Isla, and Embyr Servantez; brother, Sean Florez (Ashley); sister, Maria Heydenreich (Bill); and brother, A.J. Servantez. Other survivors include; wife, Melissa Servantez; paternal grandmother, Rita Servantez as well as a large extended family.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; grandson, Alexander Servantez; brother, Jason Servantez; and his paternal grandfather, Anthony “Tony” Servantez.
Memorial visitation will be held from 9:30-10:00 A.M., followed by a parish rosary being prayed at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow and be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., at the church. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.
Memorial contributions can be made in Brian's memory to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
