Brad C. Hendrix, 48, passed away on December 9, 2023 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
Brad was born the son of Jack L. and Maureen T. (Keegan) Hendrix on April 23, 1975, in Topeka. He was a loving son and father who brought laughter and joy to every life he touched. Brad never met a stranger during his short life and will be remembered as a “live and let live” sort of guy.
Brad graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1993 and Topeka Technical College. He was an I-Car Certified autobody technician. Brad played guitar and was lead singer in several country music bands in Topeka. He was a proud member of the Axtell Knights of Columbus and a hearty fan of the Axtell Eagles.
Survivors include a daughter, Kaylyn Hendrix, half-brothers Tim and Curtis Hendrix, aunts Paulette Haug and Sheryl Keegan and uncle, Glen Keegan. Brad was preceded in death by his parents and half-sister Tammy Hudson.
Cremation has taken place.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M., followed by a rosary at 10:30 A.M., and a Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M., all being held at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Private interment will be held in St. Bridget’s Cemetery.
A celebration of Brad’s life is planned at a later date to honor his memory and remember the good times.
