Bernadine C. Dreher

Bernadine “Bernie” C. Dreher, 79, of Tecumseh, KS, left this earth on April 13, 2019 surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 7, 1939 in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Leo Francis and Georgia Frances (Koehler) Donahue.  They preceded her in death.

Bernie taught ceramics for a period of time.  When Fred, husband of 61 years, retired from Santa Fe, they made ceramics and stoneware pieces attending craft shows to sell them for over 25 years.

She was a member of Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church.

Bernie married Fred Dreher on May 24, 1958 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Big Springs, KS.  He survives.  Other survivors include her children, Tammie (Glenn, III) Sprinkle of Edmond, OK, Mary (John) Nesbitt of Wakarusa, KS, Kevin (Cristie) Dreher of Auburn, KS and Lori (Roy) Davenport of Osage City, KS.  She is also survived by her siblings, James Donahue, Larry (Millie) Donahue, Sharon (Johnny) Whetstone, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a Parish Rosary will be prayed 6:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery, Big Springs, KS.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Midland Care Hospice or St. Peters Cemetery sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6^th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
