Barbara Lynne Allen

Barbara Lynne Allen, 56, of Topeka, passed away on Friday May 3, 2024, at her home.

She was born December 15, 1967, in Topeka, to Russell Noel Peters and JoAnn F. (Degenhardt) Peters Staley. Barbara graduated from Highland Park High School, May 1986, and graduated from the American Academy of Hair Design, Topeka, September 19, 1991.

Barbara worked as a dispatcher for AAA for 25 years.

She enjoyed scrap booking, working on puzzles, playing online video games, and watching the KC Chiefs (GO CHIEFS!!).

Barbara is survived by her mother and step-father, JoAnn and Lyle Staley of Topeka; her partner, Jason Bruce of Topeka; half-sister, Jeanette Briggs (Drew) of Topeka, step-mother Chris Peters of Topeka, step-sister Sherry Chevuru (Jittu), and step-brother Russell Staley; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and extended family; as well as her beloved dog, Gypsi. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:30am, with funeral services following at 10:00am, Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave. Topeka, KS 66603. The family will receive friends after the funeral service until noon on Thursday.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Helping Hands Humane Society or the American Heart Association, sent in care of the funeral home.
