Ann (Foreman) Dickhoff

September 12, 1947 — March 22, 2026

Topeka

Ann (Foreman) Dickhoff, age 78, of Topeka, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Topeka.

She was born the daughter of Benjamin Franklin “Frank” and Mary Ann (Writt) Foreman on September 12, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas. Ann attended and graduated from Hayden High School in 1965. She continued her education at Washburn University, where she earned her Bachelor of Social Work in 1969, beginning a life devoted to caring for others.

Ann’s work as a social worker was not simply a career, but a true calling. For over 42 years, she faithfully served children and families through Head Start and USD 501, pouring her heart into every life she touched. She had a quiet, gentle way of making people feel safe, seen, and deeply cared for. Ann believed in the potential of every child, often becoming a steady source of encouragement and support during times when it was needed most. The difference she made cannot be measured in years alone, but in the countless lives she helped shape with her compassion, patience, and unwavering love.

Outside of her work, Ann found joy in the little things that made life sweet. She loved shopping, especially finding the best deals on QVC, traveling, and cheering on Washburn and Hayden athletics. Her greatest happiness, however, was found in her family. She treasured every moment spent with her son and grandchildren, rarely missing a game, school event, or opportunity to be present in their lives. Those moments were her pride and joy.

Ann also found comfort in simple, meaningful routines, sharing a cup of coffee, enjoying her favorite candy, and spending time with dear friends. In her later years, her servant’s heart continued to shine as she volunteered at Christ the King Catholic School, a role she truly cherished.

Ann lived a life of quiet grace, selflessness, and deep love for others. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and a gentle strength that will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Survivors include her beloved son, Daniel Wilson and his wife, Wendy; two grandchildren, Addyson and Carter Wilson. Other survivors include her two loving sisters, Nancy Beier and her husband Charles, and Janet Leiker and her husband Ron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Paul Dickhoff Wilson; and two sisters, Carol and Rosemary Foreman.

She will lie in state from 5-7:00 P.M., with a rosary prayed at 7:00 P.M., on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, March 27, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.
