Anita T. Dodge

Anita Theresa Dodge, age 101, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at The Gardens at Aldersgate.

She was born the daughter of Peter P. and Anita E. (DeSimone) Cassese on May 13, 1923, in Jamestown, Rhode Island. 

Anita was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She married Robert H. Dodge on November 18, 1961, in Topeka, KS. He died on April 25, 1993, after 31 years of marriage. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; two sisters, Sr. Mary Aimee and Tina J.; as well as two brothers, Louis R. and Peter P.

Survivors include her two devoted sons, Carl H. Dodge and Robert H. Dodge, Jr., and his wife Catherine; as well as a loving extended family of many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She will lie in state from 9:30-10:30 A.M., followed by a parish rosary at 10:30 A.M., on Friday, May 31, 2024, at St. Matthew Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.

Memorial contributions can be made in Anita's memory to St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia Ave., Topeka, KS 66605. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
