Agustina M Williams

Agustina (Martinez) Williams, 77, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026.

Agustina was born on September 11, 1948, and was raised in Topeka, Kansas. She also spent time living in Tacoma, Washington during her husband's military career. She attended Lincoln School, East Topeka Junior High, and Topeka High School. She grew up in an area of Topeka known as “The Bottoms,” a community she remained connected to through annual reunions.

She volunteered for 25 years at Holy Family Catholic School and received the Angels’ Blessing Award in 2024 for her service. She also participated in the Kenwood Neighborhood Garden Tour. Her travel adventures included trips to Chicago by train as a youth to visit extended family, Family trips to The Ozarks and a trip to Spain with her daughter, Tina.

Agustina is deeply loved and missed by her family, friends and pets. Known by many affectionate names—Augie, Mom, Gramma, Aunt Augie, Tabba and more—she held a special place in every heart she touched.

She was known for her contagious giggle, warm spirit, and steady kindness. Her presence brought comfort, joy, and a sense of reliability to those around her.

Family was everything to her.

The youngest in a large family, she was adored by her siblings and a cherished aunt who loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren were especially dear to her, and she never missed their important moments, always cheering them on with pride.

Her light shined through when she met and married her faithfully devoted husband of 57 years, Ken Williams. They had three children Tina, Matt and Maria.

Her greatest joy was being a mother and homemaker. She made every holiday special, filling her home with special decorations, and family traditions. She also created lasting memories by being involved in her children’s school life as a room mother and volunteer for special events.

Agustina’s home reflected her creativity, with beautiful flower gardens that delighted neighbors and visitors. She loved hosting gatherings, especially Fourth of July celebrations and fall bonfires.

She enjoyed music and dancing, with favorites like Elvis, The Beatles, and Aretha Franklin. She also loved animals and treated her pets like family.

Even through illness, she remained strong, described as “tough as nails,” and continued to show resilience and grace.

Her faith, love, creativity, and devotion to family form a lasting legacy.

She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Jose and Adricola (Castillo) Martinez; siblings Ben Llamas, Ruben Llamas, Helen (Llamas) Chavez and Agustina (Llamas) Navarro; and other loved ones.

She is survived by her husband, Ken Williams; children, Tina Williams, Matt Williams, and Maria Williams-Culbertson (Aaron); grandchildren, Nico, C.J. (Aspen), Bella, Emma, and Abby; siblings, Monie Perez, Joe Martinez, and Mary Martinez; and her cats, Cheeto and Willow.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 13, from 9:30am to 10:30am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with a rosary prayed at 10:30am. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery-Topeka.

Agustina lived with joy, faith, generosity, and love. Her laughter and spirit will live on in all who knew her.
