Janice Louise McEvoy

Janice Louise McEvoy, 72, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Plaza West.

She was born July 16, 1938 in Hays, KS the daughter of Richard and Mora (Chrisman) Smith. 

Janice went to work in 1962 as a Librarian for the Kansas Department of Transportation

She was a graduate of Ft. Hays State and Emporia State Universities.

Janice married Kenneth McEvoy on January 28, 1962 in Emporia, he survives other survivors include one daughter, Kendra Lynn McEvoy, Topeka, KS; one sister, Judy K. Smith, Salina, KS and nieces and nephews of Salina, Ks.. 

Janice will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
