Doris I Baer

Doris I. Baer, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday evening, January 17, 2007 at a Topeka hospital. She was 82.

Mrs. Baer was a homemaker and parishioner of Mater Dei Parish at Holy Name Catholic Church.

She was born October 27, 1924, the daughter of Lawrence Turk and Barbara A. Brenner Turk.

Doris was married to Thomas R. Baer at Holy Name Church on November 29, 1947. He survives at home.

Other survivors include three sons, Thomas R. Baer, Jr., Topeka; David P. Baer, Beverly, Massachusetts and Donald Baer, Topeka and one sister, Barbara E. Turk , Topeka.

Six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie J. Hupp and two brothers, Francis Turk and Gilbert Turk.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:00 o’clock at Holy Name Catholic Church, 1114 West Tenth. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Baer will lie in repose after 2:00 o’clock today at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
