Geraldine D. Valdivia

July 8, 1944 — January 17, 2007

Geraldine D. Valdivia, 62, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at a local hospital.

Mrs. Valdivia was a Care Giver for Sunflower Support and was a parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She was born in San Diego, California on July 8, 1944, the daughter of Richard T. Davis and Kathleen M. Stone Davis.

Geraldine and Raymundo Valdivia were married in Topeka on January 21, 1989. He survives at the home.

She is also survived by her mother, Kathleen M. Davis, Mission, Kansas; three sons, Richard Robinson and wife Paula, Weston, Missouri; Billy Robinson and wife Lisa, Topeka; Patrick Robinson and wife Mary, Topeka; two step sons, Raymundo Valdivia, Jr., Topeka; Mark J. Valdivia, Topeka; one daughter, Sandy Robinson, Sebring, Florida; one step-daughter, Jana Valdivia Vargas and husband Papo, Topeka; two brothers, Larry and wife Bette, Springfield, Missouri and Floyd Davis of LeHigh Acres, Florida and one sister, Carolyn Close and husband Carl, Mission, Kansas.

Nine grandchildren three great-grandchildren and one step grandson also survive.

Mrs. Valdivia will lie in repose from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:00 o’clock.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend John Cordes at 10:00 o’clock Monday morning at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Grantville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Marlo Cuevas-Balandran Activity Center and may be sent in care of the funeral home, 800 West Sixth, Topeka 66603.
