Esperanza Guebara

Esperanza “Hope” Guebara, 78, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 08, 2007 at Atria Hearthstone.

Mrs. Guebara was born December 18, 1928 in Topeka, the daughter of Ralph and Petra Loya Pimentel.

Mrs. Guebara was a member of Mater Dei Parish.

She was married to Louis J. Guebara on February 21, 1944 in Kansas City, KS.  He preceded her in death on January 8, 2006.  She also was preceded in death by her brothers Ralph and Rueben and sister Helen.

Survivors include; one son, Andrew in Texas, one brother; Gil Pimentel of Topeka and seven sisters; Aurora Delgado, Lydia Borjon, Rita Valdivia, Mary Louise Crump, Grace Gonzales, Delores Ruiz and Susan Watson all of Topeka.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Assumption Church.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Mrs. Guebara will lie in repose from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, Inc. or Mater Dei Parish for Assumption Church sent in care of the funeral home.
